Atlanta City Council adopted legislation creating and regulating the Atlanta Arts & Leisure District in June 2017. A portion of that legislative action included the authorization of a Cooperation Settlement between the Metropolis of Atlanta and the Atlanta Downtown Enchancment District (ADID), a community improvement district that provides governmental companies on behalf of Downtown property homeowners as a non-public 501(c)(three) company, to manage the District. Operations and resolution-making associated to the District shall be ruled by Board of Directors of ADID. A key part of the management and oversight of the District will be the creation of an Advisory Committee to the ADID Board of Administrators.
