Committee Jurisdiction: Major jurisdictions are programs and insurance policies affecting the recording, movement image and other leisure industries, tourism and humanities packages and museums, professional and beginner sports activities including the State Athletic Fee and the regulation of athlete brokers, and Internet media. Arts and Leisure Administration college students could have interests in: the Management Association, Alpha Lambda Delta (First-yr honor society), Alpha Kappa Psi (Professional enterprise fraternity), Beta Gamma Sigma (Honor Society), and Advertising and marketing Affiliation. Many of our students also participate in varsity and intramural sports activities, special curiosity teams, and scholar government.

Shenandoah Conservatory is residence to more than 20 instrumental, vocal, and dance ensembles open to auditions from majors throughout the university that present quite a few performances every year. These performances happen throughout Shenandoah University’s vibrant campus on its various stages, including a concert hall, recital corridor, proscenium stage, black field studio, out of doors amphitheater and more, to venues and efficiency spaces in the Northern Shenandoah Valley and around the world. Ensembles always interact with Shenandoah’s dynamic school and an array of distinguished guest artists by means of residencies, workshops and distinctive efficiency alternatives.

The district additionally has impressive performance spaces, art galleries, great restaurants, museums, training centers, retail stores, and extra. Anchoring the district is the Historic Maryland Theatre on South Potomac Road.
